Furthermore, she was associated with various academic institutions and organizations as a Master Trainer and Mentor. She has the honor to work for the first ever project of ECE in Sindh as a key resource person. She had trained Master Trainers from all over Sindh under the project “Girls Primary Education Development Project Phase II” funded by the Asian Development Bank 2003. Moreover, she has collaborated as Master Trainer ECE with the Directorate of Research and Assessment Center Sindh and City District Government for teacher training in Karachi.

In addition, she has contributed as an author for young children’s learning and development by publishing thirty subject related books on English, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Nursery Rhymes and Teacher Training Manuals. 

In May 2014, her interest towards Early Childhood Education inspired her to establish the Institute of Early Childhood Education and Development (IECED) at Karachi. It is a pioneering institution focusing on Training, Publications and Consultancy in the field of ECCE. The institute was initially registered with Sindh Board of Technical Education and later got affiliated with Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University, Lyari to start degree programs in ECCE. Eventually, this milestone turned IECED into the first ever ECCE college of the country.

She has the honor of being a member of the Sindh Provincial ECCE Curriculum 2017, Review Committee set up by the Education and Literacy Department Govt. of Sindh. She is the pioneer consultant for ECCE to Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) and her designed teachers training courses on ECCE have been recognized, used and implemented in various institutions across Sindh Province.

She is working as convener for ECCE Committee with SBTE, and along with her team has designed and revised ECCE Teachers Training Programs as per the requirements of Competency Based Training (CBT), National Quality Assurance Framework (NQAF) and World Educational Services (WES) as a lead consultant for National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).

In addition, she is working with the Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI) for two different projects as lead consultant for ECCE. The first project is designing a training manual focusing on “Health, Safety and Nutrition for Young Children”. The second project is establishing an Early Learning Center at Sindh Government Children Hospital, New Karachi for indoor and outdoor young patients.

Besides she has also had experience of working in media for a significant period of time that ultimately turned out to be an asset to capitalize upon while launching programs and workshops for teachers, parents, young children, and other stakeholders.

Dr. Qazi Naeem Alam

Director & Head of Quality Assurance

Dr. Qazi Naeem Alam holds an impressive array of academic credentials, including an M.Sc., M.Ed., M.Phil., and Ph.D., earned from respected national and international institutions. Additionally, he is a certified IntelÒ Master Trainer and has successfully completed the UNESCO e-Learning Course on Information and Communication Technology in Education.

Dr. Qazi’s expertise is further strengthened by international certifications, including Certified Team Supervisor (CTS)™, Corporate Leadership Certified (CLC)™, Project Management Essential Certified (PMEC)™, Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certified (LSSWB)™, and a Certification in Data Science and Machine Learning. In recognition of his academic excellence and professional acumen, he has been awarded fellowship status by the Management and Strategy Institute (USA).

With over two decades of teaching and administrative experience, Dr. Qazi has held significant roles in esteemed institutions such as Fazaia Degree College and Aga Khan College, as well as online educational platforms like Noon Academy. His leadership as Principal and Vice Principal included organizing and conducting numerous faculty training workshops and development sessions. In addition to his roles in academia, Dr. Qazi has independently established and operated branches within the Adamjee Network and The Smart Colleges, supporting the educational advancement of thousands of students. Dr. Qazi is a published author with five physics books under his name, issued by the esteemed Kifayat Academy, with two additional books currently in progress.

Syeda Sana Zaidi

Head of Degree Program

Syeda Sana Zaidi is a dedicated PhD Research Scholar at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) with a distinguished academic background. She holds an MS/M. Phil Degree in Educational Leadership and Management from SZABIST, where she was recognized as a Gold Medalist. Additionally, she holds an MBA-HR / M. Phil-HR and a B.Ed from Iqra University.

With over 17 years of experience in teaching, educational leadership, and research, Syeda has served as a Faculty and Research Thesis Supervisor at the University of Karachi, Department of Education, guiding postgraduate students and contributing as a visiting Faculty member at Allama Iqbal Open University.

 

Syeda’s diverse background in early childhood education includes roles as a Junior Section Coordinator cum Academic Coordinator at Profectus International School and various positions at The Academy main campus. She excels in nurturing young learners and enhancing educational experiences.

As a Curriculum Designer, Syeda brings expertise in curriculum innovation and pedagogical strategies, playing a pivotal role in shaping competency-based curricula for the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) and NAVTCC. She has extensive involvement in curriculum planning, development, and educational standards advancement, reflecting her dedication to fostering inclusive development and academic excellence in early childhood education.

Syeda is also an accomplished researcher with published articles in national and international journals, recognized as a Google Scholar. She has trained over 500 teachers in lesson planning, pedagogies, classroom management, and activity-based planning, demonstrating her commitment to enhancing teaching practices and educational quality.

Fariha Rehan

Head of Diploma & Certificate Program

Fariha Rehan is a dedicated and skilled early childhood educational professional, holding a Master’s degree and an MPhil in Educational Leadership and Management from SZABIST University. With over 14 years of enriching teaching experience in reputable institutions, Fariha currently serves as a committed faculty member and trainer at IECED Institute. Her educational journey includes certifications in Early Childhood Education and circle-time certification from a musically minded USA, reflecting her commitment to holistic learner development.

At Habib Girls’ School, she excelled as an Enrichment Coordinator, responsible for designing and implementing engaging activities for the pre-primary section. Fariha actively contributes to curriculum discussions, offering valuable insights and suggestions to enhance educational practices. Furthermore, her passion for research is evident through her publication of three articles, including one in a W category journal, showcasing her expertise in Early Childhood Education.

As a faculty member and research review committee member at IECED, Fariha plays a vital role in evaluating and providing feedback on research proposals and papers. Her responsibilities include ensuring the quality and relevance of research conducted within the institute, thereby contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of early childhood education.
